Eknath Sambhaji Shinde, a prominent political figure in Maharashtra, India, has created a world record for becoming the first Chief Minister from Thane district. He assumed the position on June 30, 2022, after being a cabinet minister for the Public Works Department in the Government of Maharashtra. Shinde is a member of the Legislative Assembly from Kopri-Pachpakhadi Thane, representing the Shiv Sena party. Prior to his current role, he served as a two-term corporator in the Thane Municipal Corporation and was a member of the powerful standing committee.
