Mr. Rajesh Dogra, a resident of Varanasi in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, along with his team of students, achieved a remarkable feat by creating the IEA Book of World Record for the “LONGEST ROLLER-SKATING YATRA” from Srinagar in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir to Kanyakumari in the southernmost tip of India, covering a total distance of 5011 km in just 90 days. The purpose of this extraordinary journey was to promote the concept of ‘EK BHARAT SHRESTHA BHARAT ATULAY BHARAT’ or ‘One India, Great India, Incomparable India’ that aims to strengthen the cultural and social bonds between different regions of India.
The roller-skating yatra started on 27th September 2022 from the beautiful city of Srinagar, nestled in the lap of the majestic Himalayas, and ended on 25th December 2022 at the southernmost tip of India, Kanyakumari. The team encountered various challenges and obstacles during their roller-skating journey but managed to overcome them with sheer determination, courage, and perseverance. Throughout the journey, Mr. Rajesh Dogra and his team members spread the message of ‘EK BHARAT SHRESTHA BHARAT ATULAY BHARAT’ by organizing various cultural and social events, interactions with locals, and media engagements.
The journey of Mr. Rajesh Dogra and his team is a shining example of how determination and dedication can help achieve seemingly impossible goals. Their journey has not only created a world record but has also inspired many people across India to come together and work towards building a strong, united, and culturally diverse nation. Their efforts have been widely appreciated and recognized by people from all walks of life, and they have become an inspiration for millions of young Indians who dream of achieving great things in life.
